Why live alerts are off
Live API outputs are off on every Tradee plan. The product is early, it can change without notice, and a short outage can miss an entry or an exit signal.
Live API outputs are off on every Tradee plan. Free, Hobbyist, and Pro can still paper trade. None of them can start a live output bot.
The cover counts are a worked example, not a recorded run. Tradee has 3 plans. Customer accounts can start 0 live output bots. Free still includes 1 active paper bot. If you opened this from a pricing card, this is why live alerts are disabled.
What is paused
Execution has two modes. Paper mode keeps modeled positions inside Tradee and does not publish a feed. Output mode is the live-alert path: the same modeled positions, plus a private stream your own tools can read.
That output path is paused. The pause does not depend on the plan you pay for. A Hobbyist account does not get three live bots today, and a Pro account does not get ten. Those caps stay written on the plan cards so you can see what the plan is for. The line is crossed out because the switch is off.
Paper limits are the ones that still apply. Free includes one active paper bot. Hobbyist includes five. Pro includes 25. Backtest limits and Assistant Credits are unchanged.
The product is still early
Tradee is in its early stages. The screens, the limits, and the way a bot is configured are still being shaped by people using them. A live alert is a promise that a signal will leave Tradee and reach a tool you run. That promise is a poor fit while the product is still finding its shape.
Paper mode is the fit. It lets you watch a rule on new candles without asking another system to act on the message. Strategy, bot, and execution is the map of those objects. The output half of that map is the part that is paused.
What you see can change
There is no guarantee that the product you see now will look the same tomorrow, or in the next hour. A setting, a limit, or a screen can change while you are using it. That is normal for a product under active development. It is a bad surprise if a tool outside Tradee is waiting on a message that no longer means what it meant an hour ago.
The plan cards still list the live-alert caps so the intended shape stays visible. They are not a service commitment. When the switch comes back on, the post and the cards will say so. Until then, treat the crossed-out line as off.
A short outage can miss the trade
The app is in active development, so downtime happens. Some of it is short. A short gap is enough to miss an entry or an exit if a strategy is waiting on a live message at that moment. The bot does not get a second chance at the candle that already closed.
High availability, a second site that keeps serving when the first one stops, is not especially hard to describe. It is out of reach here because it is not affordable for this stage, and it is not the main focus. The work right now is the strategy builder, the backtest, and paper runs you can inspect. Keeping a second copy of the whole system online would spend the time and money those pieces still need.
If your own receiver must not miss a bar, do not point it at Tradee yet. Run the same rule as a paper bot, read the result in Tradee, and decide later whether a feed is worth the gap risk.
What you can do now
Build the strategy, backtest it, and run it on paper. Those paths are open on every plan, inside the limits above. The pricing cards link here from the crossed-out live line. The same link is on Execution and on Connections, so the reason is next to the button that no longer starts an output bot.
FAQ about why live alerts are disabled
Why are live alerts disabled?
Live API outputs are paused on every Tradee plan because the product is early, still changing, and not built for a strategy that cannot miss a bar.
Does my plan turn live alerts on?
No. Free, Hobbyist, and Pro are all paused. The live-bot counts on the paid cards are the intended caps, not a switch you can flip today.
Can I still paper trade?
Yes. Paper bot limits stay as they are: one on Free, five on Hobbyist, and 25 on Pro.
