Using the assistant
Open the panel from the floating control, chat in Markdown, and shape behavior from Settings → AI Agent.
Open the assistant
- Use the floating Assistant control in the bottom-right of the app (next to Feedback).
- On desktop, press
`(backtick),~, or"when focus is not in a text field to toggle the panel. Escape closes it. - Enter sends a message; Shift+Enter inserts a newline. While a reply is streaming, send becomes Stop.
What you can do in chat
- Ask for help navigating Tradee, understanding a page, or drafting strategies, bots, and backtests.
- Accept or cancel confirm cards before write actions run. Some create/run actions can be auto-confirmed in settings or from the confirm-card menu for this chat or all chats.
- Let the assistant open in-app pages for you when page navigation is enabled. The panel stays open across navigation.
- Use interactive page guidance when enabled: the assistant can highlight visible buttons and links on the current page. Form values and hidden content are not sent.
- Optionally let a conversation continue when backtests it is watching finish. A waiting banner appears with Stop waiting.
- Edit an earlier user message to regenerate from that point. Later messages are removed; actions the agent already took are not undone.
Preferences
Open Settings → AI Agent to:
- Disable the assistant for your account.
- Disable page navigation suggestions.
- Toggle interactive page guidance (on by default).
- Allow continue-when-backtests-finish (off by default; uses an extra turn).
- Auto-confirm create strategy, create bot, save backtest draft, and/or run backtest.
- Choose the active agent (App Default or a BYOK agent).
Conversations
Use the panel header to browse conversations, start a new chat, expand or restore size, reset position, or close. Open state and the active conversation persist across page navigations. Turns keep running if you navigate mid-reply; the panel re-attaches when you return.
